About Atlantis Outpatient Center
Atlantis Outpatient Center originally opened in 2004. The medical office building was a free-standing surgery center exclusively for gastroenterology and pain management procedures by a group of physicians who wanted to create a place that is efficient and easily accessible for patients. As they became a leading provider of outpatient surgical services, the physicians started to experience some difficulty managing the current volume of patients with the limited amount of space they had. The center occupied 6,500 SF and comprised 2 operating rooms, 4 procedure rooms, and a 7-bed recovery area.
In need of a solution, Optimal Outcomes purchased the medical building in 2017, which Atlantis Outpatient Center resided in, located at 5645 S. Military Trail, Atlantis, FL. Optimal then partnered with the physicians to expand the surgery center. The plans included a 3,500 SF extension to the current space, all while the existing surgery center continued to perform cases. The end result was a 10,000 SF medical office building with a large waiting/reception area, 2 operating rooms, 4 procedure rooms, and a 16-bed recovery area as well as a 3-bed preoperative area.
After successfully completing the expansion in 2020, Optimal Outcomes was then approached by the firm, Kayne Anderson, and sold the building located at 5645 South Military Trail for $7.3 million.
