Optimal Outcomes recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the 13th facility to be designed, developed, and constructed for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (“FCS”), located on 1390 Grand Venture Drive, North Port, FL.
The 20,000+ SF cancer center will stand 1-story high with tall textured concrete panels to anchor the corners of the building, emanating a modern flare blended with Key West style to fit into the town center. To protect the staff and patients as they enter/exit the facility, we’ve integrated covered parking, drop off canopies, pedestrian-scaled covered walks, and porches with low sloped metal roof lines. Once completed, patients will have access to Medical Oncology, Hematology, Clinical Research, next-generation PET/CT imaging, 16 exam rooms, and 45 infusion chairs surrounded by oversized windows that overlook a serenely designed landscaped area.
In order to provide the highest quality of healthcare to the community, we’ve exercised Evidence-Based Design (“EBD”) throughout the planning, designing, and construction phases of this project. EBD is about creating better buildings through the knowledge and application of proven best practices identified through the collection and sharing of knowledge learned within these phases. Ultimately, the 20,000 SF cancer center will not only improve the quality, convenience, and delivery of healthcare from providers to patients, but it will also reduce patient stress, include innovative operational efficiencies, and enhance overall patient/provider experiences.
Thanks to our partnership with Precise Construction as our General Contractor, GHC as our Architect, and Morris Depew as our Civil Engineer, we are able to fulfill FCS’s mission of providing World Class Medicine to the patients in Sarasota County this September 2021.
